So in essence, the mail servers are just her Internet domain hosts mail servers.
Enable Mapi Software Recently UpdatedThe medical software recently updated to the newest version, and when the client tries to send an invoice out via email, the get: Server Busy.As usual with this error message, Retry does nothing, Switch To brings up the start menu, and cancel is grayed out. There is an option in settings of the program to use the internal smtp function for sytems that dont support MAPI to send email which does work.Prior to the update, the medical software sent emails to Outlook 365 with no problem. My question is, is it possible to configure the 2 current Outlook email accounts to use MAPI Right now they are simple IMAP accounts. If possible, what would be the steps to enable MAPI so that the medical software can talk to Outlook Thanks for any help. Question comes in as to what on email system do the mailboxes reside. Does the medical software attempt to use the Outlook client to send or is it sending directly through the email server. IT does involve a registry key tweak, but it should fix the problem. Just the simplest setup to directly access the mail servers in the simplest way (IMAP of course). The medical software is able to send directly using her mail servers. Her problem is that she has a fancy signature with an image and she cant send that through the program. Therefore she needs the program to have Outlook send it so she can use the Outlook interface. The med software has a checkbox that says something like Use direct mail servers for non-MAPI enabled systems, which allows the software to send. If I clear that checkbox, it tries to communicate with Outlook but fails (Server Busy loop). Ive worked in the registry quite a bit but Im a little nervous about this one taking her system down.
